The Era Blend project is a showcase of collaboration, creativity, and care in every detail. This design journey brought funky comfort and a modern-vintage twist to life through a client-centered process that prioritized transparency, communication, and thoughtful design at every stage.
Collaborative Moodboard Evolution
The journey of a design project is always a team effort. For Era Blend, every decision and idea was reviewed virtually and in design meetings, ensuring we were all aligned. We started with a conceptual design plan and floor plans, ensuring that the material study and functionality were headed in the right direction.
- First Design Moodboard: The initial moodboard set the stage for the project, capturing the essence of funky, retro aesthetics and serving as the foundation for a cohesive, vibrant style throughout the home.
- Designs 2–3: As we moved through iterations, we began adding spaces gradually, making sure not to overwhelm the design process. This phased approach allowed us to get to know each other better, ensuring clarity and alignment for each area. The better we understood one space, the better we could build on it for the rest of the home.
- Final Approved Design: This final version brought everything together—incorporating the client’s specific requests while adding the designer’s touch to create a polished, personal result.

A Client-Centered Approach

- Transparent Communication: Throughout the project, we maintained clear and consistent updates, ensuring alignment at every stage. Regular check-ins, detailed revisions, and ongoing feedback allowed us to stay on track and meet the client’s vision within the defined timeline.
- Listening & Iteration: The iterative process was driven by thoughtful feedback, incorporating specific details like the placement of artwork and plants. We even adapted the design to include unique items the client purchased along the way, such as a funky entryway bench that added a playful touch.
- Realistic Budgeting: We believe in balancing a holistic budget, meaning some elements may carry a higher price tag while others are more cost-effective. For Era Blend, this approach allowed us to include a statement light fixture alongside a budget-friendly side table—creating a harmonious balance between style and practicality.
- Timely Delivery: While the goal was to install everything by the holiday season, we always prioritize balancing the budget, timeline, and product lead times. This delicate balance sometimes requires compromises, but the result for Era Blend was nothing short of fantastic—a space that truly reflects the client’s style and needs.
