Spring is finally here! We’re headed back outside again to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. You can help bring those good vibes inside, too! Here are some of my tips for getting your home ready for spring.

Let in Some Fresh Air

Open the windows and let fresh air in. Spring is here and with it fresh clean air, chirping birds, and more sunshine. Your space needs to breathe and so do you!

Bring the Outside Inside

If you’ve been following me at all, you know I’m a huge fan of houseplants! Bringing nature into our homes is good for your mind, body, and soul. House plants help clean the air we breathe, which impacts how we feel and we sleep. Plants also have a calming effect on people because they remind us of nature, which is where we all come from. This is especially true in the spring time when you live in a place where trees and plants have been barren throughout the winter time. Bringing plants or cut flowers into the home will remind you that the seasons are changing, time is passing, and winter is over.

If you don’t want the responsibility of taking care of plants, don’t worry! Believe it or not, fake plants have a similar psychological effect as live ones! You can also find artwork of nature, dried flowers, or other non-maintenance ways to bring nature into your home and create a calming atmosphere.

Clear the Clutter

This is so important! Clutter is linked to anxiety and feelings of overwhelm. When you look around your space and see tons of stuff, you can often feel beaten down. And if you need some help getting reorganized, of course we have design hacks for you!

Quick Refresh

Like I said above, changing up your space can really make a difference to your mood and overall well being. It only takes a little rearranging or a little color to bring new energy into your space. Now that spring is here, you can bring in some new colors and textures to really boost your mood and make it feel new and fresh.

You can start with items you might already have: rearrange some art, bring out blankets or pillows you haven’t seen in a while, or rearrange the furniture. If you’re looking for something new, check out these items in our Amazon store to bring in the spring vibes – colorful pillows, throws, and plants.
