Before & After
We got the call to redesign this 90s builder-grade home in Boulder, CO for a single man who wanted a Restoration Hardware look without the steep ticket price. As a marketing professional, brand and image were very important to the client as well as the need to make the space appealing to future buyers or renters in future years.

Problems to Address
This tract home had no personality; it came straight out of the 90’s builder grade book. Huge windows brought in natural light, but there were few light fixtures to brighten it up at night. With an odd shaped bar, strange built-in nooks, lack of storage, and huge walls that drew the eyes all the way up, the owner needed a major makeover so that he could host the dinner parties and events he loved. He needed a focal point to feature bold art, updated cabinets and counters, more storage, and subtle industrial vibes. He needed something that felt like home to himself and his friends and would also be ready to sell without redesign in the next five to eight years. The good news – he wanted everything new and the place came as a blank slate.

Final Design
This simple, clean, and elegant space gave off the Rocky Mountain hosting vibes our client was looking for. We painted the fireplace and existing tile black, added fun wallpaper behind the media area, and added crazy colorful artwork for new focal points. Area rugs defined the open spaces, storage benches added seating and storage, and shelving made those nooks functional and beautiful. Unique lighting fixtures, bold staircase banisters, and plenty of accent pieces, this bachelor pad is now a welcoming spot for guests and set to sell when our Rocky Mountain Vibes client is ready for his next move.
