Before & After

When this young couple reached out to us, they were looking for a full kitchen and bath gut. With a modern aesthetic for dark and moody vibes, they weren’t sure how to honor the architecture of this 100 year old home. But one thing was certain; the Franklin Renovation owners were risk takers!

Problems to Address

The kitchen was boring, outdated and dark. Made up of prefab cabinets boxed in with soffits and very little natural light, the Franklin kitchen was screaming out for more storage, lighting, and character. Down the hall, the powder room was as boring as they come. The couple wanted a crazy “ah-ha” moment as soon as you walked through the door. Almost as if you were transported into a whole different space, just inside a tiny powder room (I like to call this the Narnia of bathrooms)! The challenge: turn over the boring outdated kitchen and bath into beautiful spaces that combined natural light with dark and moody vibes, created plenty of storage, and would make this client happy for the next 20 years or more.

Final Design

With a focus on function and style, the new kitchen has tons of new storage options, a built-in pantry, new overhead lighting, and a mix of open shelving! Their love for a modern moody aesthetic with a light airy kitchen blended beautifully. The bathroom now achieves their desired wow factor with gorgeous wallpaper, mood lighting, and a modern touch to an art deco vibe. What began as outdated, cheap-looking, and boring, is now a kitchen and bath oasis this couple will proudly enjoy and show off for decades!
